Small Ship Cruising, presented by Travcoa

Travcoa has been leading luxury adventures and in-depth explorations of the world’s most interesting destinations since 1954, and over the years we’ve expanded our collection to include several styles of luxury travel to destinations around the world. Our Small-Ship Journeys, for instance, offer the perfect blend of superior accommodations and superb land arrangements that facilitate our guests’ exploration of many off-the-beaten path locales. In this way, we are able to feature each spectacular destination with the unsurpassed quality that is the hallmark of a Travcoa journey.

Even guests who eschew the typical large ship cruise experience have discovered that the right combination of small ships with land arrangements opens many new possibilities by offering the comfort of an excellent, mobile hotel where no good accommodations may otherwise exist. Small ships also offer varied, seamless experiences and the convenience of not having to pack and unpack repeatedly. Travcoa has carefully selected a variety of small ship experiences providing both Travcoa style and a unique advantage in each destination.

Travcoa offers three styles of travel by small ships:

Escorted Small-Ship Journeys

Travcoa ensures that our Escorted Journeys are limited to 18 guests, led by the world’s most attentive Travcoa Travel Directors, enriched with insights from superb local guides, and featuring our exclusive Dine-Around Program. These journeys transform mere travel into profoundly enriching — and ultimately life-changing — odysseys.

Independent Small-Ship Journeys

Our ready-to-book Independent Journeys are ideal for couples, families, or friends who wish to travel together privately on the dates of their choice. Superb accommodations, a car and driver, breakfast daily, exclusive excursions and the distinguished service of local guides are all impeccably arranged for you down to the smallest detail.

Small-Ship Cruises

Being on the water offers a unique vantage point for exploring. With a limited number of guests traveling on deluxe ships that are smaller in size, our Small-Ship Cruises offer unique opportunities. Led by a dynamic expedition team, you’ll benefit from specialized knowledge and personal attention that will provide a truly enriching travel experience.

In addition to these unique itineraries, our line-up of Cruise Extensions also continues to grow. These Independent Journeys can easily be added before or after your Small-Ship Journey from ports such as Hong Kong, Istanbul, Venice, and more. Click to see our lineup of Cruise Extensions

Whatever the choice of ship and destination, Travcoa travelers will experience excellent onboard accommodations, great service and food, and the company of extraordinary expedition leaders in a small group environment. Our NEW 2013 Small-Ship Journeys Collection brochure features many of the spectacular destinations that can be visited by small ship with Travcoa. This 32-page brochure introduces a number of exciting new Small-Ship Journeys, as well as classic favorites and is available for view online and for order today!
