This morning take the train south to incredible Agra.  En route, visit the Agra Fort, a massive red sandstone Mughal Fort. Built on the banks of the Yamuna River in 1565 by Emperor Akbar, the fort houses a beautiful Pearl Mosque. Tour the world famous Taj Mahal — built by Shah Jahan for his queen, Mumtaz Mahal. (B)

DAYS 4 & 5

Drive to Jaipur, stopping en route to explore the magnificent fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri. Visit the "ghost town”and its Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Panch Mahal Palace. In Jaipur, take an elephant ride to the Amber Fort, a classic, romantic Rajasthani fort-palace.  Stop to visit Hawa Mahal - the Palace of the Winds.  Then tour the city, starting with a visit to the Maharaja's City Palace, and later, visit the Jantar Mantar, the largest stone and marble observatory in the world.  (2B)

DAYS 6 - 8

Today fly to Udaipur, called the "Venice of the East," and visit the exquisite City Palace.  Covering almost four acres, it is noted for its marble pavilion and imposing dome.  Today it is a museum with a large and diverse collection of artifacts.  Then enjoy a private boat ride on Lake Pichola.  On Day 8, you will be taken to the Udaipur airport for your flight home or on to your next destination.
