Day 1Arrive Cagliari, Sardinia Welcome to Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. You are met on arrival at Cagliari airport, and transferred by private car to the village of Villasimus. Arrive at your luxury hotel, your home for the next two nights. Villasimus is the crown of the enchanting beaches located along the road from Cagliari. Its spotless beaches and crystal-clear sea have made it a popular resort area. The coastline around Villasimus is dotted with small salt-water lagoons and islets, where white sandy beaches and coves; flanked by smooth granite boulders, face an emerald sea.

Day 2South Sardinia Excursion Today enjoy a morning excursion to the southern tip of Sardinia, an area of unspoilt beaches, dramatic mountains and colorful towns that let you taste the traditional culture and cuisine of the island. Your private guide and driver take you to Capo Ferrato, driving along the ribbon of beaches known as the Costa Rei. This 5-mile stretch of coastline is renowned for its golden sands and transparent waters, offering luminous hues of turquoise blue to emerald green. Relax, explore the town and perhaps take lunch in a seaside café. En route back to your hotel, stop in the charming village of Muravera. Today a tourist town, Muravera was built by the Romans the village has been inhabited since historic times, with evidence of occupations by the Pisans, Aragonese and 17th century pirates.

Day 3Villasimus to Oliena Today, travel north into the cool countryside of the center of the island. Arrive in Supramonte, an area wrapped in the ancient quietness of vineyards and olive groves in time for lunch. This area produces olives, excellent wines and exquisite cheeses – makings of a savory Sardinian lunch. Continue your drive north to Oliena, a picturesque town nestled on the slopes of Monte Corrasi, overlooking the Cedrino Valley. Set amongst vineyards, almond trees and olive groves, Oliena has a colorful market square, surrounded by traditional houses built in unfired brick and straw. Oliena is also well known for handicrafts, including embroidery and jewelry. Tonight stay at the hotel Su Gologone – a charming traditional country hotel known for its Sardinian hospitality. The hotel has extensive gardens, full of flowers and oak, olive and juniper trees.

Day 4Oliena to Baia Sardinia This morning, continue your drive up to the northeast tip of Sardinia, and the Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast) region. This is rocky area with 35 miles of a continuous succession of islets, rocky promontories and more than 80 bays, with beaches of fine white sand bathed by a clear, emerald-colored sea. Originally sparsely populated, the region was developed in the 1960's, and it transformed into one of the world's most exclusive resort areas. Mid-day you arrive at Baia Sardinia, a lively resort town, and your luxury hotel. Spend the afternoon and evening at your leisure.

Day 5Costa Smeralda & Palau Today’s excursion first takes you to Porto Cervo, the pearl of the Costa Smeralda, and the capital of the Emerald Coast. Enjoy a visit of this village of multicolored buildings, recently built in front of the natural port and the surrounding hills. Continue on to Palau, another spectacular and noteworthy seaside town. Its artistically shaped coastline is sculpted by the wind, generating a wide variety of shapes and forms in its rocks. The most famous is dell'Orso - thousands of years of atmospheric erosion has amazingly transformed this rock to appear like a bear. Arrive back at your hotel in the afternoon – with time to relax and enjoy your beautiful resort accommodations. (Dinner at the hotel is included.)

Day 6Depart Olbia Say “arrivederci” to Sardinia today, as you are taken the airport in Olbia for your departing flight home or on to your next destination.
