Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodations to refresh and relax.

DAYS 2 & 3

On Day 2 you will be driven to the train station to board the Eastern & Oriental Express in the late morning. Your adventure by luxury rail takes you from Singapore to Bangkok and recaptures the golden age of rail travel through one of Asia’s most beautiful regions. (3B, 2L, 2D)

DAYS 4 & 5

On Day 4 arrive at the River Kwai Bridge Station. After disembarking, take a cruise along the picturesque Kwai Yai River, which passes under the infamous bridge. Enjoy a half-day tour of Bangkok along with a visit to the enchanting Wat Arun, also known as the “Temple of Dawn,” and take a long-tail motorboat cruise on the Chao Phraya River. Then see the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Royal Funeral Hall, Royal Coronation Hall and Wat Po Temple. (2B)

DAYS 6 & 7

Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Yangon, a unique blend of old English colonial buildings, wide tree-lined streets, sparkling lakes, verdant parks and gilded shrines. Highlights include the Schwedagon Pagoda, the octagonal Sule Pagoda, the National Museum and bustling Bogyoke Market. (2B)

DAYS 8 – 10

Fly from Yangon to Mandalay where you will board the MS Road to Mandalay. The ship will cruise gently along the Irrawaddy River, lined with ancient palaces and pagodas. On Day 10, arrive in Bagan and enjoy a guided tour of the area to see the most important temples. (3B, 3L, 3D)

DAYS 11 & 12

Disembark the ship in Bagan and then fly to Yangon to begin your trip home. Stay in Yangon for the final night of your Burmese adventure. The following day you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home or on to your next destination. (2B)
