DAYS 1 – 3Kuwait City, Kuwait Arriving in the late evening (or early morning), you are welcomed at the airport, and escorted to your luxury hotel. The next morning, explore Kuwait City’s palatial homes, health centers and housing projects, all of which meld modern architecture with traditional design and construction. Observe graceful old Arab dhows anchored in the harbor as they have been for centuries, sharing the waters with fishermen — a reminder of Kuwait’s early days as a thriving trading port. Sightseeing includes visits to the Kuwait National Museum and Sadu House. In the evening, enjoy a special welcome dinner.

DAYS 4 & 5Doha, Qatar Doha, the capital city of Qatar, features an intriguing blend of Oriental, Arabic and contemporary architecture. We will visit the new Museum of Islamic Art which is housed in an imposing building designed by I. M. Pei. Explore the heritage and traditions of the Qatari people during a memorable visit to the camel racing track where you will see how the camels are trained for racing. Next you will proceed to the private museum belonging to the Royal Family member Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani. During your guided tour, you will view an extensive collection of more than 3,000 Arabian and Islamic artifacts, weapons, Bedouin jewelry, manuscripts, antique furniture and books.

DAYS 6 – 8Bahrain Bahrain sightseeing includes a tour to the Al Fateh Mosque and the National Museum. Visit Maharraq Island, the northernmost island of the Bahrain archipelago, in the Persian Gulf. Visit Shaikh Isa Bin Ali’s House, a fine example of local architecture, complete with wind tower, wall carving and lattice work, and its representative of traditional 19th century life. After lunch continue to Bait Alquran, the museum of the ancient manuscripts and the rare copies of the Quran. On Day 8, visit the Bahrain Fort, which marks the ruins of a large, ancient city. The fort is the site of 100,000 burial mounds, which made up the world’s largest necropolis, and along with the relics in the National Museum, attest to the rich spiritual life of past inhabitants, and bear record to the prosperity and traditions and rituals of the past.

DAYS 9 – 11Muscat, Oman From the Grand Mosque to the colorful Fish Market and Muttrah Souq, Muscat is filled with fascinating history and culture. Explore Nizwa, capital of the interior, where we will visit the 17th-century Round Tower Fort and bargain for treasures at traditional souqs. At the Birkat Al Mauz, explore a flourishing date plantation and sample some of the desert’s most beloved fruit.

DAYS 12 – 15Dubai, U.A.E. In Dubai, visit the Bastakia District for a glimpse of old Dubai. Discover the wind tower houses originally built by wealthy merchants, and explore the Dubai Museum, with its life-size dioramas depicting traditional Arabian life. See modern Dubai including Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building; Palm Island and Jumeriah Souq On a journey inland, savor beautiful desert landscapes, camel rides and a falconry show on a four-wheeldrive safari.
